If you have the Facelift version of the Mk7, you’ll want to be careful with your wheel specs observations. There is a significant difference between the 6J x 16 5/112 ET48 d57.1 and the 8Jx20 5/112 ET47 d57.1 sizing.
Since neither option offers OEM wheels, you could be stuck with whatever outcome happens unless you pay for an update to the tire sizes and rims.
What About the Volkswagen Golf Mk7 ABA Models?
Volkswagen released a few “ABA” versions of the Golf from 2013 to 2019. These cars have an ABA-AUCHH, ABA-AUCJX, or an ABA-AUDLB designation associated with them.
The first option had models available in 2013, with a Facelift available in the 2017 year. If you owned the second option, it was only released during the 2016 model year.
As for the last option, it was released in 2017 as a Facelift option.
You’ll find OEM wheels available if you own the 7.5J x 17 5/112 ET49 d57.1 or the 7.5J x 18 5/112 ET451 d57.1 markings. Anything else is considered an alternate replacement.
Sales of the Volkswagen Golf Since 2011
In the United States, the Volkswagen Golf and GTI models have been available since 2011. The first Golf R models recorded sales in 2021, while the EV version began selling in 2014.
It has not been one of the more popular vehicles for Americans to drive. Its best sales year was in 2017, when almost 70,000 units were sold. During that time, about one-third of those cars were the SportWagen.
